Today my DarkMagic v1.0 fell in the line of duty. How do you cope with the loss of a skill toy?
well… I’ve gotten to the point in yoyos that I realize that it’s just a toy. I’ve dinged my peak (when it was still mint), and it didn’t phase me. If it breaks, I have others to use
/play taps.
Cope with the loss of the skill toy by, (if you are in the right place financially) buying another.
Run in circles, scream and shout. ![]()
Well when my DM broke i just randomly started laughing cause there was a huge hole in it, you know i dont even know why i started laughing.
and i usually start spewin’ out nonsense in tongues…
mgodinez
cloudy…
i feel ok because i know its going to yoyo heaven…
if you need taps tho, i can play it…
When a yoyo “breaks” I wouldn’t worry about it, because someone can always fix it. I don’t care if I ding my yoyos, unless their somebody else’s.
Well, I will split time between a Kickside and a FHzero.
Hold a ceremony, make a grave, a headstone, and retire that yoyo…
You have to laugh when bad things happen sometimes. It’s a great coping mechanism. Otherwise, you lose perspective and let things get to you that shouldn’t. Dinged metal yoyos are ![]()
cremate it ;D

Oh… Reduce, Reuse, and RECYCLE!!! USE its guts to further your playing!!! ![]()
But honestly, if it can’t be repaired, I’d take what’s useful and move on.
