Now do that rejection into this:
spicy
Working on a little combo, but trying to figure out a smoother transition to this hop to 1.5 GT.
Ever since I learned the basic 4a regens it’s pretty much halted me learning other things because they are too fun and I find myself forgetting I need to practice or learn new things
Sticking with fixed this week, I am working on Lunar Landing. Destroyed one of my favorite throws already so now I wont give up until I can nail it smooth to honor its memory. Rest in Pieces Spinworthy Scorcher.
Finally working on an actual new trick this year. Dedicating time to learning tsunami bomb. Love the way it flows, but man it’s been a minute since I last struggled with a rejection.
Kamikaze 2. Hard but super satisfying to hit cleanly.
same here I can’t get the hop from houdini mount
Trying to figure out a better ending for the trick I keep posting on here. Feel like I’m stuck with it.
Y’all make me feel weak I’ve been trying to get a clean Kwyjibo for about 2 weeks, and when I’m not working on that it’s all Suicides. Super tough element IMO.
Yup, suicides are one of those tricks that I’ve never really knuckled down to get consistent. They’re hard! But I will persevere and get these down.
I think I finished it

I haven’t been pushing myself.
I’m pretty sure if I was pushing myself I’d have some things down (maybe not real smoothly or consistently though) such as kamikaze and THIS FLOW trick from @smileypants707.
I think I’m moving really slowly and am not nearly as far along as I could be.
But…at the same time…I’ve been really enjoying myself and I am making progress and getting the tricks I am working on smoother and more consistant.
And I’m just happy.
I’m always in danger of burnout when it comes to hobbies. I tend to jump into things head first and if I don’t slow myself down, I eventually quit and move on to whatever’s next.
So I’m going slow. I’m 3 or 4 months in and still don’t know kamikaze or anything…but I think I’m okay with this for now. I think I will push myself a bit harder here soon…at least to the point where I’ve landed a few complete Kamikazes and can get Chad’s flow trick down (then I can start working on making it smooth)…
It’s not like I’m competing with anyone. It’s not like I have anyone in the 3d world I’m trying to impress…I’m doing this just for something fun to do.
And I really am having quite a bit of fun right now!
No need to be down, you should just set weekly goals for yourself if you’d like to progress in my opinion
If you try to nail at least one “easy” trick a week + have that one “hard yet achievable” trick in your weekly rotation it will add enough spice in your practice as opposed to practicing the same trick over and over…
You should also learn some fun binds if you haven’t already, binds and regens are something I’m perpetually working on
Hey thanks…I’m kinda doing something similar and it’s a big part of why I’m having so much fun.
I have a list of things I do each day…X number of 1 trick, X of another…etc, etc. I’m enjoying this as it gives me something to focus on.
I start a new list each sunday and I’ve been adding new tricks each week. This week I’ve been working on lacerations, finger grinds, suicides and the first pop in pop’n’fresh as my new weekly tricks (I also do a bunch of repetitions of other tricks on top of these).
Suicides still feel impossible to get down consistent (I can land them, just not at all consistently) and I’m doing lacerations all sorts of wrong haha…but I’ll keep working on it! But I’m getting better and better each day with grinds and with mondial (the first part of pop).
Next week I plan on adding in the second half of pop to my list…and thanks for the suggestion on binds Think I’ll find 1 or 2 of them to add in as well.
But none of it is super hard and I’m not pushing myself really hard. Like a few days ago I was working on kamikaze and I got all the way through the trick up to and past the magic drop…only messing up on the very last part of the trick a couple of times. I’m pretty sure if I’d of pushed harder I’d of landed it that night! But I decided to be happy with the progress I’d made and stop.
Same with the Flow combo…I’m just not working super hard at it. Today I only worked on it for like 2 or 3 minutes before moving on…putting almost no effort into it.
It’s okay though, I’m loving my throws (damn I’ve got some good ones! Been loving the hell out of my One "Deck Gauntlet Secret Santa left at my front door a couple of days ago)…and though I still have off days where I’m struggling with everything…I’m starting to get more and more good days where things just happen. And damn that feels good when things just start making sense all the sudden and you can hit your tricks one after another!
Sorry for the long couple of replies lol…sometimes I like to think a bit out loud!
TLDR (complete sentence)
haha don’t blame ya a bit!
I’m just doing a bit of thinking out loud.
I’ve been working on suicides a lot lately. I actually find myself having waaaaay more consistency doing them from a GT instead of from trapeze. The risk is a little higher, but that loop to catch stays open way better.
Another fun one to do is suicides from double-on 1.5 mount (1.5 mount, but with an extra lindy loop). The loop is small but it stays open.
Been getting the takeshi bounce more consistent. Also gonna try to learn that Harrison Lee trick @EOS44 posted for tutorials.
