What’s your rarest yoyo?

I think this is. I’m really not sure how rare it is though. Looks around 2005 to me.

I assume my unengraved 7075 majesty is my rarest throw I own. Someone correct me but there should only be a couple of those floating around.

100 of them were made I believe, they were a LE for worlds that year (tbh I don’t really recall what year… probably 05 or 06).

I’ve got a couple that aren’t seen much around these pages. This is one.

Alchemy Silk
Designed by Eric Wolfe back in 2006.
Machined from solid Delrin, one of the first to be manufactured this way.
I added the o-rings as weight rings which made a significant difference in spin time. Surprisingly, this didn’t add any significant vibe.
The original orange response pads failed long ago and I flowed some silicon in there.
It’s a bit on the grippy side. I’ve been using it a bit as a semi-responsive 5A throw.

Set up this like this, it’s pretty good player. Decent spin time, stability is good too. I’m glad I’ve kept it all these years.

Enjoy the throw my friends

So I have one that I would consider fairly rare, and I may totally wrong. Years ago when I was getting back into yoyos, I had been getting anything I could find in the local Toys r Us. Fast forward and I found some tutorials on expert village, at this time I didn’t know anyone throwing and I was adult.

At some point I reached out to Andre and asked what a good yoyo would be, past what I had been throwing, and he suggested the Shutter. So I got one. As I progressed, I really wanted what he was using, the DM2. So they had one left in black. So I bought it, not knowing that was it, no more. I fell in love with it and no matter how many different yoyos I get, I love the DM2.

Finally, four years or so ago, I was in the the warehouse hanging out with Garrett and looking through all of the stuff they had in boxes, stuff that was unsellable, etc. There was a DM2. I said, hey is that a DM2, I’ve been looking for another one. And Garrett said, yeah that’s the Andre special, it’s the one he used in all the new videos downstairs. He said they couldn’t sell it because of the rims being scuffed up and stuff from the filming and it may have some vibe.

If you seen the drawers and piles there, it was easy for it to get lost in there. It had the box, both bearing etc. I asked if I could get it from them and he was like, sure we can’t do anything else with it. So here it is. I did buff the rims a little bit after I got it through.

the fact that Andre threw it in the videos makes it even rarer! i’m surprised he let it go. from what i understand, it’s his favorite.

nice score for you though.

Like I said I may be totally wrong or only heard what I wanted to hear. It does have some of the creeper and walk the dog marks still on the rims. So wherever it came from… He did have a bunch in his own display wall in the office. Really good ones to, I always wanted one of the poison frog versions and it was super cool checking his out.

I have a couple other ones I think a fairly unique or uncommon.

A Skywalker and a belt buckle.
One of the unnumbered Ti-Vayders. Played by Andre, Tyler Severance, and Graeme Stellar.

Two silver gradients. Darn things do not stay polished though. They look awesome if you take the time polish them up.

My rarest throw is probably my 1/1 custom painted ILYY Lio. IIRC it was painted by Brett from highspeedyoyos back in 2009?
It‘s a colour changing purple/green glitter.

I tried to catch it‘s beauty but its hard with no sunlight right now…
