That is definitely one that gets me sometimes. Especially if it’s an extreme shape or something totally new and out of the box design wise.
I mean sometimes that’s just it. It rips lol
Yeah, rips… rips the cut on your finger, lol

But people get mad when i say all plastic yoyos have mid performance at best
Mr hades Doesn’t think plastic performs isn’t a surprising take to be honest…
Lol, yeah. I wish more people gave comparisons or clarification. I gave a review when I first got my Shooting Star and pointed out that there are yoyos that perform way better, you just gotta shell out more cash for ‘em
I mean for new or intermediate players a plastic like the shooting star or AOE or even k2 crystal are more than good enough at the price
Biggest yoyo pet peeve is probably that I never had the chance to meet Hulk Hogan.
Stupid axel knots from screwing up laceration binds. Then pulling it out the wrong side and still having a knot in the string. Extra points for a new string and getting the knot so tight the only remedy is a new string!
Managing string torsion, a knot when out and not having a pick.
Not being able to take all my yo-yos everywhere all the time
yes brotha its not tension its torsion. ![]()

Oh man, I’ve gotta watch that show again.
Last Night Gus and the Kung Fu one are the best. You cannot change my mind
I don’t blame companies for doing this, because it smart marketing, but I always find new and "improved” versions of older yoyos slightly annoying. When they are released it makes me wonder if my older version is not up to par now. Now, I know it may be that I end up preferring the older version, but I just prefer all new models that I can evaluate independently.
Only the yoyos I want are sold out!!
not having any versoins of the el mijo D:
I am so frustrated on how long it took ME to understand that a longer string was not helping me progress, no matter how many layers or the complexity of a trick.
What I leaned
More string means more stuff to worry about
I found that out literally last night haha. But it’s weird cuz at the same time there’s tricks that I just can’t do without long string
I had the opposite problem lol, I had been trimming my strings to the old “tie the loop at your belly button” method. I was really struggling with the first step of Rancid Milk, just couldn’t get it to land without hitting my hands. I ended up trying a really long string a few days later (I don’t exactly remember why…) and it just clicked!
There is for sure a happy medium to everyone’s “perfect” length, and I think I found mine at 3 fingers above the belly button, or somewhere between my sternum and Betty button.
