What is the most important decision that you made in your life, that changed everything?

Just wanted to know what that decision is and how different would your life be if you didnt do that. I find this an interesting question to ask people.

The most important decision I’ve ever made was forgiving someone close to me who had done something really hurtful. I realized a few years after, that I held a lot of resentment towards this person and that I was the one paying the price emotionally, and even in some ways, physically. When I decided to let go of my ego and finally forgive that person, my life flipped 180 degrees.

There’s a really good quote, and I can’t remember who said it, but it goes “Not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and hoping for them to die.” I believe this 100%, and I also believe that forgiveness is such a strong antidote to many of the emotional and even physical problems that people have today.

Yes! Very true!

Usually formulated as

“Resentment is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die.”
