The yoyo experience is really just two parts. One part yoyo and one part you. What you bring to the experience is often what you get out of the yoyo. I’ve always enjoyed most any yoyo, maybe not as much as someone else, maybe a bit more than everyone else but my expectations, attitude, experience, and determination change from day to day, the yoyo just remains the same.
Oh god, I hated my Replay…first real yoyo I had when I started up again and I was quick to pick up something a little nicer and aluminum. I had a real beef with YYF after that until I got a Czech Point and a Wedge. Now we’re good again.
I guess for me it was the Fat Tire. That was my fault though. I built up an image for myself and when I got it I realized “Oh this isn’t quite what I had in mind”. I thought it was going to be more like the Kuntosh but instead it was, I guess more of a ‘fun’ yo-yo? Not too stable, not the longest spins, you really had to be careful where your string was and there were no finger grinds for me. All that made my smile go away real fast. Again, my fault for thinking it was gonna be a very slight performer.
For my frontstyle I find it very stable with great spin. I love it and it gets handled daily. I love the full-handed feel. Fat Tire and Top Deck are two favorite yoyos. What colorway did you get?
I bought mine knowing that I didn’t like how he played, having been able to try it, I only bought the colorway (cryo) that I liked a lot.
I much prefer playing with Avalanche than with the Chief.
