All the players I know who were sponsored by Sochi quit the team and now they are using other strings (Ryuichi Nakamura uses One Yoyo Equipment and Mir Kim uses OT). Did Sochi shut down their brand or something else happen?

Good strings. Hope they stay available.

Sochi is pretty much dead honestly. The company had enormous shipping issues and terrible customer service. I believe they are still making string but that’s really it

Zipline is still selling Alphaline, which was a collaboration with Sochi. I’m not sure if it’s just previous stock, or if they are still getting supplied.

I’m surprised it hasn’t been mentioned on the forums, at least from a quick glance, but I feel like allegations of Luckey contest fixing and lying about the type of aluminum used in yoyos to pocket the difference has more to do with Sochi’s death than bad customer service.
