Pros generally prefer solid because it’s easier to see.

I call shenanigans.

  1. Lots of pros have signature colourways that are splashes, splatters, etc.
  2. When the yoyo is spinning, the colours “blend” into a solid colour anyhow
  3. A lot of patterned yoyos are going to be easier to see than a solid. Something being solid doesn’t inherently make it easier to see… that just doesn’t follow logic at all.

But mostly #1 and #2.

It just depends to me. Some solid colors look super classy like a high quality car. Some look pretty cheap. Same goes for splashes.
