Grim wolf…
I still think Fenrir is a sick name for a reaper/wolf themed yoyo.
makes me think of that movie The Grey.
It’s a nice color. My first thought was Ghost because it reminded me of the white dire world from GoT.
I need this in my life so bad!
This has been the most requested and liked
One for staring at
One for throwin!
Sometimes I enjoy looking at my yo-yos as well as other’s more than playing with them. Anyone else feel that way?
Dire wolf please don’t murder me! Awesome Grateful Dead song
Impossible to stop playing! and actually, thinking about it, of all that I have in my collection, Magicyoyo is the only brand that has amazed me in every model purchased, never a minimum of disappointment, all stratospheric yoyos, with very high quality bearings at absolutely unbeatable prices. I could literally get rid of everything else and just be left with their yoyos!
Well if you do, hit me up.
@Slestak75 It’s way easier when the yoyo is so pretty thanks a lot!
@attj Since this throw arrived it became my favourite organic, I got a Noah on the way now, excited, let’s see how they compare😀
@Joe77 Thanks man, for this one I went untethered keeping the workflow speedy
@Jhonaker You just made my day:smile: I really enjoy shooting yo-yos, I will try to do it more. The only real difficulty is finding the time!
I wouldn’t get too excited about Magicyoyo. Yes, the N12 is good, but it is very rare that they hit on a decent design without any outside consultation or influence.
Many of their yoyos are based very heavily on and resemble other companies yoyos far too closely. They also have a large catalogue of their own in-house designs that are extremely poor quality and both design, materials and methods.
I know of a good company they runied by machining yoyos for them and shipping them all with no protective padding between the halves. This rendered the entire run unsaleable and the company folded.
I do agree though that the N12 is really good. It’s oddly decent for considering the other models they had in their catalogue at that time.
One more that is worth getting is the older version of the N9 and removing the horrible hubstacks. Its fantastic. I’m pretty sure it’s basically a direct copy of an early TP though which may account for why it’s good.
maybe I explained myself badly, I don’t claim that everything Magicyoyo produces is excellent.
I don’t have the complete production of any brand, as I imagine all or most of you, so for each brand I have always made choices… of all of them Magicyoyo was the only one that didn’t disappoint me once but I has always and only amazed and this has not happened for any other brand … YYR, YYF. OD, General-Yo, ILYY, etc…
The Aurora (caps and circuits removed) is an astonishingly high performance yoyo for its weight.
The Stealth is one of the best bi-metal I’ve ever played with, high quality materials and a very low price.
Dark Sprite is an excellent hybrid.
Maybe I was also lucky but today I am among the yoyos who have given me the most satisfaction
Weaper of maybe Death Weaper
Looks nice regardless!!
Awesome, this is lit really well!
I like trying to guess lighting set ups. Let’s see, my best guess would be…
5 light set up?
-Main light - softbox on left (maybe a grid?)
-Fill light right (CTB gel)
-Rim light left (CTB gel)
-Accent light on the inside cup. (snoot? CTO gel?)
-background light
very good!
4 lights
Key light - strip camera left
Rim light - gridded strip camera right
Accent - snoot
Background - gridded reflector
And some silver reflectors here and there to bring more details in certain areas
No color correction with gels or post
I like the design of the Stealth, and I have a colorway I really like despite the fact that it is a splash (I think they call it “Venecian Blue”) and I generally don’t care for splashes. Unfortunately, my Stealth is rather vibey which is disappointing. I might be able to tune some of it out, or I might not. Magicyoyo doesn’t differentiate between A-grade and B-grade yoyos, and so you never know what you’ll get when you buy one. That’s fine when you’re only out $15, but when its more like $75 (which is what I think it cost when I originally bought it), it kind of hurts.
