That spike seems to be something of a signature feature of G2 yoyos. My Banshee and Elite both have that spike. I’ve not yet tried using it for anything though.

Before Palpitations and Lasers were a thing this this was my OG absolute dream pair.
I didn’t really play 3a back then but it’s always been the one style outside of 1a that I really wanted to learn the most.
Fast forward 7 years and now I play 3a and have the pair
