What did you get in the mail, 2023

Received this fixed axle from Soul Fuel Skill Toys today. Called the Om. Made from Beech wood with a teak axle. Lovely pocket yo-yo.

The RSO Burger came in today and it is a joy to throw. The Gravity is not new. The Burger is an amazing piece of functional art.
The red and green Layered Infinity 3D printed rim weights are new and very clean addition to both throws gives the throws a unique sound to go with the added weight.
I have had the Gravity since its release, but the 3D printed rim weights give the Gravity different fresh feel to a throw I enjoy greatly already.

Everyone have a great rest of the week and a great start to the last weekend of the year. Be safe.

It looks like X-Con or X-Convict. Not quite sure about it, because release date of these are unclear for me, X-Con and X-Convict were released at mid 2000s and mid to late 2000s respectively, according to sources that i checked.

Back to topic. These arrived yesterday:

I think you are right, looks like the ExCon.
My timeline might be off as well. This was the last yoyo I bought from my older yoyo days. Thinking about it…it was probably 2002-2003? I could be wrong with those dates too. :joy:

Either way, I’m enjoying this throw more now than I did back in the day. Great size and shape. :+1:

Absolutely blown away with the entire experience of this yoyo.
So many goodies, such a cute aesthetic, hand drawn picture’s saying thank you, side effect AND cap compatability, plus a great yoyo. Incredible job done.

Not exactly yoyo related but still a skill toy, my uncoordinated self is gonna learn how to juggle.

This yoyo looks so good! What does it play like? Similar to any other slimlines?

I’d love to hear more about this. What is the response like?

I never thought I’d be this into an adorable anime yo-yo but I want everything about this. I love it!

I’m surprised on how much I enjoy horizontal with it and I would say for me it’s well rounded. Probably my favorite Mowl mono that I’ve played with. It can have a slight rock on string feel on the initial throw. Then I don’t feel it after. Very stable and easy to maneuver. I’m grabbing it often, only grabbing the new One Drop Format more often.

Its really great so far! No tilting issues tho obviously you cant bump it or be toooo sloppy. Very graceful and airy feeling with just enough presence on the string to make it not feel anemic. I dont have much experience with other slim organics so unsure what to campare it too. Can def reccomend to anyone who wants to support a small boutique business, an unmatched unboxing experience, and a very customizable slim yoyo. I adore everything about it.

Thanks so much to TheThrowingGnome for sending me this for free!

The response is pretty finicky. It is fairly smooth in the the response area with 2 shallow holes. That said, once it starts behaving, it’s great fun. It plays soft and slow if that makes sense lol. It reminds me of a Hildy Bros Currier. I’ll need some more time with it.

Nice! That atlas is waaayyyy nicer than the one I thought I was gonna send you. I’m glad things worked the way they did.

Your homie that really did try @MattC sent me this beautiful, dead smooth g2 reaper for no reason, whatsoever, other than he is just kind and for some reason loves giving yo-yos away for free. If you’re not already, you owe it to yourself to subscribe to matt Mullins on every social media platform you use. You will get fire yoyo content, funny jokes, and probably a free yo-yo at the rate this dude is giving them away!

Thank you Matt! You’re the homie we all want but don’t deserve!

Fat Tire 20/20. My last purchase of 2023. This thing rips. It’s definitely a vibe and I could see how people love it or hate it.

A friend gave me this yoyo for Christmas.

It was his yoyo when he was growing up. Vintage 1970s. Pretty cool!
