What did you get in the mail, 2023

Received this Exos yesterday and have to say it is now one of my top 5 favorites.

This feels like a mail day. @Xanadu got me thinking bout those Skateboard wheel throws…dug these gems up at my parents house.

There is also another case full other random yoyo’s. Thanks mom and dad for hanging on to my old toys!

Love that Blind one! Video Days was such a classic, one of the best videos ever (maybe my second favorite after The Questionable Video by Plan B). I still don’t understand how Jason Lee went on to have an acting career after dying back in the 90’s.

Mail day!! Got a galactic goose and an eetsit the end part II. I recently bought a Valencia orange The End from doc pop’s website a couple of weeks ago and the Eetsit The End has the exact same number! What’re the odds?!

Great stuff, which one you enjoy more? Alnilam or colony?

Barely able to see which yoyo is for how much is protected, thanks to specify that

I’ll leave a remark on comparisons between takeshi sigs once the silicone dries up. I’ve done soft throws so far to test smoothness but obviously I can’t fully review em till I properly play with em.

So far the colony is amazing based off of some soft throws I’ve been testing it on. Similar feeling to the st elmo and the elmo is my fav in terms of its movement. Just a lil powered up elmo.

The alnilam feels crazy light so far, but I haven’t tested it out yet on a full strength throw yet. I’ll leave a more extensive overview tomorrow. Remind me if I happen to forget haha

okay I didn’t forget to write this up. I think both the colony and alnilam are in the light playing takeshi sig category for sure. Similar in heart to the og mustang.

I think the colony feels a lil less rimweighted than the mustang while the alnilam plays more rimweighted than either the mustang or the colony. They are all very maneuverable and light feeling on the string when they’re moving, but they differ a little the moment they hit the end of the string.

Colony has a lil bit of thunky feel the moment it hits the end of the string. Like when you throw or drop the yoyo to the bottom of the string and such, or doing redirects. Alnilam has the least thunkiness compared to the colony or the og mustang. It’s really bizarre. I thought it’d be a bit thunky due to the rimweight it would have as a mgss design, but it isn’t the case at all. It does feel the most rimweighted though, feeling a tiny tiny bit heavier compared to the other two only when it’s moving.

Thunkiness: Colony > Mustang OG > Alnilam

Ease of movement: Mustang OG > Colony > Alnilam

Power: Alnilam > Mustang OG = Colony

The differences between these models are actually really small. They do feel like they’re in the same family line.

I didn’t really compare em to the other takeshi sigs like the Mustang ES, Palpitation ES or the Hinemosu since I thought they belong in a different group even within the same signature lineup. They are significantly heavier feeling compared to the colony/alnilam/mustang OG lineup.

Thank you for review. It was very interesting. I have alnilam, but never tried colony, so i was very curious about comparison.

Good to know all JT yoyos ship in this.

From my Shade review on my tierlist: “What’s worse is that it arrived in what can only be described as a bag made from the upper of a 10-year-old pair of Converse shoes.”

Mail has been really good this week and we still got one more I’m really looking forward to.

Mowl X - hit up Mowl and bought it from them directly. Super cool company and the plastic on this feels premo
RSO End prelude
Jensen wood - sold to me as peon but I’m almost 100% positive it’s a squib. It’s smaller than both of my squibs other squibs too.
Mfd Arlo gelada - number 1
