I really like the look of clear/raw, but I also rotate through a lot of yoyos and I like to imagine that a common color emphasizes the non-aesthetic differences – shapes, weight distribution etc., which are what most interest me. Clear seems to be the color most common across all brands/models.

I ordered some domes, spikes and caps just to see what I like best. The domes will probably end up in my Pano, though.

I really like the new Grasshopper. It’s similar to the OG, but somehow seems smoother in play and lighter without the pronounced thunk on the initial throw. Honestly, it’s just about perfect for me. I’m hoping the Reboot will be similarly great.

I thought about getting some domes/caps but the caps are only a little bit heavier than spikes and I wanted to get just one so I went with the cooler looking one. This is my only SE yoyo right now so any extra side effects will just sit around. Looking forward to getting more SE yoyos eventually, it’s really fun for someone who likes to tinker.

Rebirth Reboots dressed up ready to go go go.
I may put some brass in the brown later but it looks so good with the orange flat cap.
The new lines in the cup make the throw pop in everyone’s photos, the way the light catches the lines brings depth to the picture.
Super fun throw in my favorite pocketable size. Going to be adding the brown Reboot to my EDC rotation.
I have been throwing the Rebirth and Reboot back to back the difference is evident. I really enjoy having same models in the 2 different alloys to feel those differences in play. Awesome work OneDrop team. Thank you

Thank you one day I will find a brown Parlay to put some brass in. When the brass gets milky patina it looks great on a brown throw. I saw one on the forum a while ago tried to get it was not ready to sell. Someday

Im not good enough to nail fingerspins so not sure on that but the 2 that i ordered are smoothe as hell with absolutely zero nail vibe. Very happy

I can’t pull off a fingerspin on either the rebirth or the reboot. The grooves feel like they might be making things worse, but neither works for me.
The grooves on the side are, like the rebirth, rather nice for finger grinds.

Default loop 720 string was the perfect length for me already and it feels fantastic like I want to switch strings soon but the Yoyo feels so good!

Freehand one…already kicking myself for not grabbing this sooner…def has the responsive vibe I’ve been looking for… spins way way longer than any of my other responsive yo-yos and returns off less rpm’s so I’m super stoked and I’m coming for the 06’ trick ladder.
Also came w a dice and that’s cool. I got white because I plan to get some hardcore plastic dyes and speckle some color on it one day.

I received my second Reboot today in brown, I have some orange spikes waiting for it at home.
Also received a Freshly Dirty MOD44 D bearing, I have a couple different sets of rims coming tomorrow.

I too originally wanted a different color and missed out on others that were popular… but I have figured out a way to feel good and get past it.
This is not a dig, it has truly helped me. I have leaned over the years in this yo-yo game of life. In the immortal words of Stephen Stills and chorus of beautiful voices singing all together…
If you can not be with the one you love, honey love the one you are with. Love the one you are with. I tried to type out the doo doo doos I lost count you know how it goes.
