The Digamma Crash is perfect. Nice design and very smooth/perfect machining. I prefer the Hydrogen, but possibly not a fair comparison. The balance between the weights of the body and ring is not wild like some other bi-material yoyos. I think I remember someone here saying something similar to that about the Mowl Surveil (which I’d also like to try). The Digamma I think is machined plastic on the body because if you run your nail across it you can feel lines. I’d always assumed that these kinds of yoyos were molded.
** One thing to add (I just spent some time with both C3s last night) @Demontedsaregone , is that the bulk string I use is on the thinner side (comparable to Kitty FC fat or maybe very slightly thinner) and both the Digamma and the Hydrogen are a little more slippy than I like. I’m probably going to try a slightly fatter string on the Digamma because it’s necessary and just deal with the extra slip on the Hydrogen for now since at worst I get a regen when I wanted a bind rather than a total slip. I just checked the specs and my experience seems to check out because the Digamma gap is 4.6 vs the Hydrogen’s 4.5 so I’m patting myself on the back right now.
My only C3s prior to these are the Speedoholic and Speedoholic XX so after reading a few people talk about these two (and the Galaxy Diver and Dinosaur) I had to get one. And of course, I couldn’t just get one.
Also shoutout to Mowl. I hit them up on insta about buying one of their 6th anniversary shirts and they ended up sending me two because they weren’t sure what sizing would be right for me.
Definitely in my top 3 yo-yo companies these days.
I mean every bimetal I’ve played by C3 is amazing. This one is light and powerful, feels fast and smooth as glass. Edges are a tad sharp but nothing that would stop me from throwing it. I absolutely love it and would recommend it for any bimetal c3 lover.
