I got a YYF Shutter, Freehand, DD Monarch, and YYF Switchblade. The Monarch is fantastic, easily the best yoyo of 2022 for me, and that colorway is beautiful. The Switchblade has sentimental value for me because the Blade 2.0 was probably my most used yoyo a few years ago.

So, when i opened this i looked right at my brother and said “you got me the best gift” in a loud whisper lika a child would.
I love this album, and to top it off- this is one of(if not the) best crispest sounding records I’ve owned.

That blue and green shooting star looks great. I just ordered the same one last week, waiting for it to come. It looks even better in person than the photos on the store website. Can’t wait to get it!

The story behind it?
Once upon a time a company specialising in party/festive products designed a tiny, butterfly styled yoyo to be poorly injection molded in China and produced in the tens of thousands for random distribution into Christmas crackers.
One of those yoyos ended up in a Christmas cracker in a household in Australia, (Spinworthy Glen’s, no less) which was won in a Christmas cracker duel between two family members.
Spinworthy Glen saw the yoyo and said, ‘Would you look at that; a Christmas cracker yoyo that is not inspired by the Duncan imperial, but rather, the Duncan butterfly.’

That’s awesome, if only because it looks like it originated as two small suction cups from a multi-pack of suction cups from the bathroom section of a dollar store.

It actually has press fitted faces, like a Duncan butterfly.
It’s also funny you say that because more than once I have walked down the aisle with bathroom basin plugs and considered connecting them with an axle to make a yoyo. I’d called the ‘Sinkstar’. Lol

how is the fractal?
It’s good, I enjoy it quite a bit. I’d say it’s like a slightly heavier draupnir that has the stability of a heavier yo-yo without being a brick. So, kind of like between Sigtyr and Draupnir.
