Of course it’s a personal preference, but the price seems to be higher for them. I like the Neptuno fixed tip, but I usually grab a Quick Silver
instead. As far as the smaller plastic tops go, the YYF and the Jumbo Cobra tops are an unbeatable deal in the US market.

Probably pass on them for now then… They don’t look like a huge leap in quality over the Cobras or YYFs to warrant the extra cost. Probably going to bang up my first few anyhow.
Oh yeah, and I think you said that the YYF string and button wasn’t so great. Who does make a good one?
The stuff that comes with the Jumbo Cobra is usually better. I like light buttons so I make my own, I also wind my own top string because not much is offered, DazzlingDave will sell string he winds.

Man, I don’t miss the desert… I was stationed in Fallon for 4 years - I liked the dry heat, but the never ending landscape of the desert got old!

I’ve had this for a few years and finally decided to try it. What’s frustrating is that the first time I tried to catch it in my hand (I think it’s called boomerang), it landed in my palm and spun for a second or so, but that was just beginners luck apparently. I haven’t had more than one or two throws that were even close to that good in the four weeks or so that followed. The (intermittent) grind continues.

Should be starting my top adventure from lvl 0 this week. OTW. But probably set myself up for failure… Went with the pretty one instead of beginner-friendly. Oh well. Next time around I’ll go with something easier to use and maybe it’ll click better. Or maybe it’ll be altogether excruciating. But I’m determined to get one of these things spinning in my hand!

I hope the rest of us can learn from this. Oh I “cant afford” this yoyo/top/toy right now. My “rent” is due and ill get “evicted”. Your landlord doesnt have a sick toy collection, dont respect his rules. He’ll call the cops to forcibly remove you from your domicile?

Just got this today from France. Spintricks. This has a nice weight to it and is well balanced but BORDER FEES ARE REAL!!!
