Took a Lyft to the Post office today and on the way back my Lyft driver and i started to talk about Yo-Yos and how he used to play in the 80’s, he sounded really excited when i told him about modern throws, i decided to spread that community love by giving him the Big Dipper and man did he seem very happy to try it out. I could tell that Nostalgia hit when i handed him the throw, i told him about binding but that if he needs help to youtube it, Hopefully he enjoys it as much as he did if not more and maybe gets into the community! :]
that’s a awesome welcome back tip! Well done bro!
That’s incredible! Good teachers create fast learners!
I always heard “I’m blue if I don’t eat I will die”
I can’t stop thinking how much more positive it would be if it were green.![]()
I don’t mean to laugh at your pain but ‘decided to go on tour of the US’ is pretty funny.
edit : hope you get your game soon.
I jokingly also note that the game didn’t want to be in fiery/smoky CA and got out of dodge. Definitely gotta try and make some humor out of the situation ![]()
Still no luck on the game, though it just spent another 3 days camping out in Kansas City.
Can’t blame it. KC BBQ is pretty dank.
I tried one of the smoke houses in Missouri last summer when I was on vacation, was some good stuff!
Anyone on the east coast? I’m in north east Pennsylvania and I swear I smelled smoke in the air this morning. It was an odd smell like the smoke was far away. Around 6:30 this afternoon I was in town and I smelled the smokiness again. I guess the smoke can travel thousands of miles in the atmosphere.
Funny you ask. Not quite east coast, but I caught a strong whiff of it this evening here in OH. Could always be someone burning something here in the city though…
Nah. Same smell, 10 hours later and 7 miles away.
Yeah, I just caught that. Meant here though.
I wish my throwing was as good as my sense of smell. I wish the best for those of you in states where these fires are. This is scary stuff.
I agree with this statement 114.57%
About everything.
In life.
Ever.
We’ve gotten quite a bit of the smoke here in my small town in the middle of Wyoming.
Damn the smell makes me all nostalgic to simpler times. Makes for some insanely beautiful red/orange sunrises too!
Just occurred to me that Green is the color for Love in Eastern religion and in metaphysics and you are without doubt the most outwardly loving and positive member of the YYE forum. Coincidence? I think not!![]()
