Great tune!
My pops just sent me a recording of his first public mandolin performance, playing “Billy in the low ground” in 1985.
Love the mando!
A mellow night here at the turntable:
Esperanza Spalding, Emily’s D+Evolution
Joni Mitchell, Court and Spark
Joni Mitchell, Mingus
Bat Out of Hell II was the first CD I ever owned. RIP
Played this OR Flower Garden to my wife’s belly almost EVERY morning while she was pregnant and NOW my 6 month old lil dude gets HYPED when he hears either one
This was the one I played most often and let me tell ya SHE HATED MY FACE for it but again my lil dude gets HYPED when he hears it
This is what the maker of the song imagined it sounding like but was constrained to 8-bit sounds my 6 month old likes BOTH versions though
Mandolin is a lot of fun, and a fantastic change of pace after 40 or 50 years of guitar. It’s a far more versatile instrument than most folks think; most folks today have only heard bluegrass on mandolin.
CityALight albums have been on repeat for weeks for me
I like the mandolin’s use in classical. I also have a mandocello
I’m listening to glaive I also like xxxtentacion and juice wrld they are all good to yoyo too
