That happens often. Where ever there’s a hard line, sometimes it “clings” so to speak. Not sure what’s going on or how it happens but it’s not a flaw or anything. Just something that’s part of anodizing I guess. Here’s a picture of my chief. Look at the inner ring and the inner groove of the profile. It’s quit common.
