Unpopular Yoyo Opinions

No matter how much hype it gets, it’s still just a spiny thing on a string…

That was the best freaking episode, omg. I wasn’t too fond the show in general, but that one episode in particular was really funny.

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA!!!
Hold on there! You’ve gone too far sir!

I made this video of while back from that episode, and no one seems to understand the reference.

What it feels like trying to enter a trick-based yoyo giveaway contest on the internet:

There’s always that one person that flexes harder than everyone else.

He says “I’m the best thrower anyway!” and precedes to flex but it’s just really annoying and unfair. Even though he technically is the best thrower.

I shouldn’t have to wait 24 hours for my post to be deleted.

Is this an unpopular opinion? I guess I kind of see the reasoning but I’m surprised I’ve literally seen nobody bring this up

Andy, that is not a yoyo opinion. And it’s actually a future that I like about Discourse. It makes you think twice about what you’re posting, because people can still see what it was [for a period] even after you delete it. It prevents a lot of emotional/personal outlashings.

It’s a yoyo forum opinion, close enough :stuck_out_tongue:

If we are going to derail this tread with non yoyo related unpopular opinions, I’ve got one:

Why are plant-based, “meat substitutes” marketed to vegans? That seems extremely contradictory. Like, why eat something that mimics something that you feel conflicted about eating?

I’m on board with that!!! Why does tofurkey exist!?

Some Buddhists have certain periods throughout the year where they are vegan and they love using tofu to create something that tastes like meat, but isn’t meat.

It’s about getting the flavor. You know vegan food is good when you can’t tell it’s vegan, or it tastes so much like meat that you don’t even believe it’s vegan

There are a lot of vegans that have eliminated animal products from their diet for environmental reasons and/or animal treatment reasons. If a plant-based meat substitute has none of these disadvantages, then I don’t see why vegans would have a problem eating it. I feel like some vegans like the taste of meat, and eating plant-based meat substitutes is a good compromise.

Also, you’re definitely not going to sell any meat substitutes to non-vegans sooooo

Yeah this is the main thing for a lot of vegans I know

Nope, it’s trash and is deteriorating the health of millions of people globally. I love people, and I care about their health.

A little here and there probably won’t hurt you too bad, but every day or even several times a week is not good.

There was a time when I could put down a taco 12 pack by myself! Lol I still enjoy them, but limit myself to about 8 tacos every few months :joy:

Jesus this is funny. I try to take that into consideration with any of our contests and add a randomly chosen winner too, it’s such a hard balance to hit.

GOD this video is perfect though.

Oh wow, coming from a yoyo meme lord, I’m… honored? You can use this if you want, I won’t be mad.
