Two Chances to Win an Exotic Throws Salamander!

“Fast but not too fast, good feel on the string, stable enough to handle anything you want, nice looking finish, very smooth on the string”

-literally every review.

The only thing that varies is whether it’s good for fingerspins and even that it’s usually “not really great for fingerspins but you could probably do them if you want.”

The reason I am working on a few reviews is because there are a couple of throws with real flaws that people need to know about.

@Exotic.Throws any insight on the higher price compared to most high grade aluminum monometals out right now?

They’re manufactured and anodized in the US. He also talks about it here:

That’s simply what it cost to make a yoyo in the USA if you don’t own a machineshop

@Grendel should love this then.

We don’t want to buy your love. We just wanted to give people an opportunity to try the Salamander who might not of had one otherwise. We want to earn your love overtime through our customer service and quality of products that’s it. Much love from the Exotic team

Hey @YoYoExpertGarrett to be completely honest if we wanted to make a couple bucks the yoyo industry is one of the last places we would look. Sure, there might be some margin for profit but the market is so over saturated that you have to be willing to lose money and also completely insane at the same time.

There is really only one reason a company should make a yoyo. That reason is because they created something they think somebody else would really enjoy. We know people enjoy the salamander because we’ve seen it first hand.

Also, please message us on Instagram with incite on how to better market our company. We are just some guys who like yoyos and have no background in marketing at all. We’re sorry if the marketing seems lazy that was never out intention at all. It is purely lack of experience.

We hope to see you grow with us. Stay Exotic!

If I didn’t have to like the Throws & Brews review I’d be all over it. In fact I’m gonna follow Exotic Throws Instagram because I like your response and I’m all about boutique brands and 1 man shows. I haven’t even looked at the yo-yo or anything about it yet. I’m so turned off by the fact that I had to put my stamp of approval on so many parties to get a shot at this thing. I really don’t like Ts&Bs reviews for the same reasons that have already been stated and I also feel like at this point in his reviewing career he needs to step his game up, it’s so amateur for someone who has done so many.

Update: yoyojoe1 video got a like from

T&B won’t. I just can’t stoop that low

Sorry if my comments offended you, I may have been a little overly harsh. I haven’t heard of exotic throws before (like all the dozens of new “companies” I see kids starting) and at first glance what I saw was not much content on social media, free giveaways for likes, and a very high price tag.

I do think it’s cool you’re making them in the USA, which somewhat justifies a higher price, so I’ll reserve any further judgement until I actually try the yo-yo. I’m sure someone will have one at worlds. :man_shrugging:

Edit: And if you want an honest branding tip - “Made in the USA” should be the first thing people see, right after “Premium Throws”. I don’t see made in USA on your site or instagram, seems like a misstep to not promote that more in my opinion.

I think we need to step back and remember that we are all here for the same reason. Something we all love and that brings every one of us joy:
