Trick differences

When I do the hook some times I land into a gt or a a thing when I drop I get a knot. Is there a difference in the whipping

The hidemasa hook? You want the yoyo to be close to your NTH index finger and loop under. You want to form a loop by a segment of string looping over your finger and catching the yoyo. There is a good tutorial on here for it in the learn section.

My guess is when you get the GT, this is caused by you moving your throw hand forward making the string whip around an extra string. When doing the Hidemasa hook try to keep your throw hand back towards you body until you’ve mastered it. Hope this helped!
