To Open Or Not To Open? That Is The Question

Allow me to elaborate: I found this yoyo in an antique shop about a week or two ago, and it wasn’t until today that I actually pulled the trigger and got it.

From my research, it is a Duncan Hyper Midnight Special made for Japan, this particular one I think is from 1994. I am not entirely sure if it is rare or not, or if it’s any fun to play compared to today’s fixed axle, 0A standards. So I ask:

Do I open it or not?

P.S. are there any in-package yoyos you own that you’re weighing the option to open? Show em’ here!

Save it for collection purposes.

It prob plays terrible and you’ll be upset you opened it.

I say open it and keep it in your pocket for a month.

I want to say keep it wrapped up.

Oooh. I wouldn’t open it. I’d find one for play but keep that one as is.

I wouldn’t open it so that you can preserve it. It will also definitely play TERRIBLE!

Its going to play similarly to any plastic Duncan Imperial. Leave it in the pkg.

My brother randomly just sent me this text. I’ll let you know how it plays!
