tips on removing splash anodization?

so i’m going to re-anodize my black and clear n9, but i’m having problems with stripping the old ano. i’m etching it in NaOH(~10%) but the spots that were black stay smooth and un-etched in comparison to the rest of the surface.

any tips? i could go full on commando on it’s ano with sandpaper, but it would be my least preferred method.

also, i have my school’s chemistry class in my disposal and teacher watching over me, so there’s as little danger as there could be.

EDIT: ah, nevermind, i messed up a bit, anyhow, soon i’ll post my story on how to fail at anodizing

Oven cleaner or blasting
