i think the question is: for those who tried both, does one feel “heavier” than the other ?
Most interesting how my post left you a little puzzled as to what’s the question. After seeing your reply, I reread my post a few times. For whatever reason too much information, obviously caused my reply to appear as a riddle to you.
Fortunately, Abyss seems to have no problem grasping the gist of my dialogue.
Ok… just for you, I will ask a direct question, after setting up that question>
It has been suggested that the Outlier + plays heavy and slow. The Outlier 5 ‘may feel’ lighter and faster in play(as opposed to heavier and slower) because the 5 is 5mm wider, assisting in possibly a slight shift in weight distribution.
So:should, could, would, the Outlier 5 play faster and feel lighter than the +, even though they are still both 56mm in diameter and both weigh 66 grams?
I ‘understand’ that different widths and shifted weight distribution can give the sensation of faster/lighter……slower/heavier, etc.
I have not touched either yo-yo, even for a second. So I am not telling you any final statement based in fact.
I think the best, most credible feedback on the performance characteristics between these 2 yo-yos, would be from people that either own, have owned or have thrown both yo-yos for more than a few minutes.
…… So…. ‘If’ I told you that I had an Outlier + and I found it slow and HEAVY in play. And I looked forward to getting my hands on an Outlier 5, because it probably plays faster and doesn’t feel as heavy(in play). You would be prone to buy into that mindset?
If that is the accepted reality, than that means 2 yo-yos that weigh 66 grams… and are 56mm in diameter….the only obvious difference is one is 5mm wider than the other would result in one playing slow and heavy and the other would play lighter and faster?
Anything is possible ‘I guess’.
I gotta go now. I have to take my horse to the Vet. He seems to be feeling a little Beat.
betcha learned not to ask him that again
