So a student of mine walked into class today with this yoyo. It looks awful, but actually plays quite well for responsive tricks! Lol. It was $3 at a dime store checkout.
If I think this is good, one of those fancy new metal responsives would probably be something I really like!

I’ve seen a friend with one of those, reverse starburst is meh…
I should mention that the materials it’s made from are awful. Lol. The body is made from some cheap painted steel and the rims a soft plastic.
The axle is fastened in by nuts on the hubs as you can see. The bearing seems fine, it looks to be the same dimensions as a slim size C.
The worst part if it are the cheap spacers that are on the inside, they are made from very poor plastic and crack very easily with tightening.

I had these kind of yo-yo but a metal one.
I have 3 laying in a box. Fun yoyos to mess with. Modify them a bit and they were pretty decent
