This could be a big something...

The upgrade to 3D Printing (and at home yoyo production, because what else is a 3D printer good for?) appears to be coming in hot. From what I’ve managed to figure out by looking at their forums for about 5 minutes, is that it’s some sort of injection molding. It makes candy, plastic, metal, and soap objects. Think about it! No longer will you have to shove soap in your kid’a mouth, you can just spin the yoyo on their teeth! And a spinning lollipop! And normal materials! This could be awesome!

The question would be how precise this method is.

^^Precisely …as in ditto

yoyo machining has to be precise down to the very 0.01 mm cause everyone complains about how bad vibe is…

Not true. The most widely-used and biggest selling yoyos are all still injection-moulded, which is not at all precise, with not only machining artifacts but air pockets and stuff causing uneven sides. And then the yoyos vibe some.

3D-printed yoyos work, too. The guts systems are variable and yes, they tend to vibe at least a little… but generally at a tolerable level and like with injection-molded, just considered to be an acceptable and known limitation.

greg i was mostly joking about that…

I suck. Haha!
