The ROOC: IT'S REALLY LOUD but good!

First off this yoyo is a looker. Navy blue with that pink string? Ridiculous.

This was my first bimaterial yoyo, made of plastic and SS on the rim. This yoyo plays just as well as a high-price bimetal yoyo at only around 80% of the standard price (there are other bimetals out there that are cheaper than the ROOC but my experience has been that quality is most consistent at around the 100 dollar mark). This plays heavy for its 64 gram weight, which I personally appreciate since I like the string presence. Quite fast but stability and power are far more noteworthy.

Overall, I’m glad I picked this up. I have better yoyos but this one is really very nice, albeit very loud due to being a bimaterial.

Ben’s Alphabetacular Rating: A (for A VERY LOUD YOYO)

What makes it loud? Is the bearing loud or are the rims making sound?

The center of the yoyo but not the bearing is the part that’s making noise. The seating is both plastic and metal.

In my experience hybrid yoyos of machined plastic + SS rims are… very noisy by nature just due to the material amplifying the sound… or something like that I’m no physicist.

I don’t think I have any bi material yo-yos so makes sense why I wouldn’t know this. Good to know though. Still if it plays good then noise is fine.

I have an Iceberg, and for me, it makes the perfect outside throw. Super high performance, and the noise is minimized outdoors.

This is the same colourway I have and also is my first bimaterial yoyo as you lol I just use a neon yellow string!

Yes it is quite loud compared than a full metal yoyo, I think cause also the plastic magnify the vibrations caused by the sound of the bearing, I found it to be a real great player, nice and stable, bomb in horizontal and very good spin time, is a trick machine overall.
I also enjoyed that the surface is not sticky except the rims (sadly), so it doesn’t destroy your combo if as mistake you gently touch the yoyo, also is based on the Krown so we must had a good player here!

Glad that I picked it up as well, I play with it really a lot from when I get it, if you have the chance try to swap the original bearing with a YYR DS, it cut down quite a bit of the noise.
