I’m going to preface everything by saying that I LOVE the look of the 44, and totally want one, but it’s shape is roughly the same as the Pacquio, although heavier. It’s so pretty. However, I can only buy so many at once so I’m going to hold off. I have settled on these three for now, or until I find something else that I want more.
Rec Rev No. 9 – It’s disgustingly beautiful. Very Strange H-Shape. Fairly heavy and larger. I have never played with anything that was shaped like this. Who knows, I may like it the best.
Werdd Pacquio – Standard Shape but smaller and lighter. Faster and more compact’ish looking.
For the third, I would have loved a Yuuksta but the red is the only one left and I don’t really like the look of it. For a somewhat similar shape as that was the YYF Genesis, which I still may get, because it is strikingly beautiful-looking. However, I have settled on the ILYY Fury because of it’s shape, texture, and description. It looks great and has a shape unlike that of the other I have chosen.
Also, while I’m splurging I think I’m going to pick up a Dingo, just because everyone says it’s so much fun. It’s only $50, and it seems like a great throw for traveling in my pocket, which I tend to do a lot of.
So I seem to have settled on 4, rather than 3, but I’m feeling pretty good about these choices. It will also give me some fairly solid trades if I tend not to like them. It’s a bit of money but I have some change in my pocket and I won’t be making a multiple purchase again, or any purchase for quite some time. What do you guys think?
Another couple of throws you might want to consider are the Planet 9 from yomerica spindustries I just love it and it play as well or better than my OD Green Haze Y Factor and MarkMont Next. I will also agree with what has been said before about the dingo. Great little yoyo and it will help you get better because everything must be precise. I also recomend the Hectic from YYF its an odd shaped little bugger but it plays great.
That’s an awesome selection of shapes and weights.
If you suffer from string burn, know that cotton string will do that, and it’ll get less over time as your fingers toughen. Having said that, throw some general-yo kevlar string into your order, as it isn’t available often, and i’ve found it very finger friendly and hard wearing.
Yoyogstring also does a few very finger friendly varieties, but you’ll have to buy that from the maker probably. I’ve also heard good things about spinvious buttered thread. Popular strings at all the specialist yoyo shops are fairly good, and beat the heck out of cotton.
If you get bad burn while learning just stick a bit of medical tape on your finger. You want to balance between lightly damaging your skin (to form a callous) and ensuring it heals correctly to build up light tough scar tissue. If you’re burning yourself raw you’re only delaying the healing and toughening process.
I think you should try a campfire or dingo. There both undersized and are good to carry around.The protostar is a plastic fullsized yoyo that plays about as good as a metal.The boss is a undersized yoyo that is fast. Check out these websites if you can.

I think you shoukd get some unresponsive yoyos because once you learn how to bind you probably wont want to go back.

I have made the purchase and my yo-yo’s will probably be at my door when I get back to America. I ended up not buying the ILYY Fury. It was the most expensive and I simply couldn’t justify spending $125 for it at the end of the day unless I absolutely loved it, and I only “sort of” loved it. Instead, I think I’ll get some play time on the remaining choices:
Dingo
Pacquiao
Number 9
Kickside
