I am stoked that Gentry won. He really is the reason I starting really learning to yoyo. The Shutter was my first real metal yoyo. The wide angle is one of my favorite throws. Absolutely the most versatile throw I own. So much so I just bought another the other day.

Does the Wide Angle feel as wide in play as it actually is? By that I mean the couple wider yo-yos I’ve had have felt a little chunky, but the inner cut to the profile looks like it might reduce that issue.
Also does it play as light as it weight suggests?

To answer your questions, the Wide Angle does not feel chunky to me, and it doesn’t feel lighter than the number suggests.
I’ve found that wide yoyos don’t actually get in the way at all. Even with that grey one I made that is 57mm wide, it was still pretty easy to throw it in and out of triangles in the trick Superman.

As for gentrys freestyle, i think a lot of people were upset because a lot of the players had really risky bangers, while gentry had a very consistent freestyle with less bangers.
