Team Abyss Yoyo Topic! Protos coming soon! So are Shirts.

Yes. Im blind, thats how i read your posts. This yoyo shows NO SPECS (NUMBERS) for axel size, bearing size/depth or anything else that might be going on in size that throw. i would say he needs an open side to show. and im guessing that why the last machinist bailed. Calling me blind when i know exactly what im talking about is the exact reason why I don’t think you guys get much respect on this board from what im seeing in this thread. Also the leader being beyond dis-respective when I’m trying to help. Also I see all this talk about which bearing your going to use. I’m pretty sure they all have contracts with each bearing company and you can’t just pick any bearing you want. Thats a total guess BUT im also guessing that you guys were too and have no idea.

does airglow make string or throws or compete i thought i just started seeing your guys name on the thread recently? although i only came here recently so what do i know. age matters, i learned all about it at my college. its called a ceiling effect. Text book stuff. It used to happen to girls not so much anymore.

EDIT: just showing this to my friend whos a autoCAD genious/engineer he said there was no way this guy could make the throw in exact spec (or even close) with that picture. you need depths, like i thought. you need SPECs for every single change in that thing unless you want him to improvise. still, just trying to help team abyss. their are many things you can draw in autoCAD that dont auto dimension it for you. “if you knew anything about CAD”.

Sorry to jack this thread but…

AirGlow makes homebrew string and competes at competitions. We are not a “clubhouse team.” Our whoile team meets once a month to talk, throw, test new formats and such.

There are no dimensions because he doesn’t want people to steal it. You friend obviously doesn’t know to much about CAD. CAD has every little dimension, whether you see it or not doesn’t mean it isn’t there, you just never told CAD to show it. Now if the machinist was going to code by hand then yes he needs to see all of the dimensions. If he uses a cam system then he uses the file with all of the dimensions in it.

IDK he just designs parts for cars I’m sure he knows nothing but whatever good luck to Team Abyss don’t let the age difference hold ya back!

How is the project going?

He quit yoyoing for the school year.

Didn’t know that. Wonder why he didn’t tell me… I’ve sent him like 100 PM’s (exagerating but I’ve sent him about 10 thought Jun. 20 though September 30.) asking how’s it going and if he was gonna post my DXL vid, and he hasn’t responed to any of them. I thought he totally quit forever… Anyway, is he still getting the yoyos done?

Hope he gets back into throwing.

He wants to, but he claims he has no time for yoyoing of any sort due to “parties” every week.

that may be the funniest thing i have heard all night. no, it is not, but then again, this night was hillarious for me.

it doesn’t require more than 5 min at any given time to yoyo. i yoyo at school. when people ask how i got good, i reply: “practice through procrastination”

also, he is young. parties every week is crazy. i wish i knew of a party every week. there is probably one twice a month if i am lucky. or you could yoyo at parties

He’s like 13 in 8th grade “partying” every week, and I am 15 almost 16 and have never been even invited to a party. It’s not like I am unpopular, like I know people but they just don’t have parties that often. Plus when I yoyo, I yoyo for a good hour or 2

I’ve heard some people quitting for the school year, and most of the time, they never come back to yoyoing. I don’t care how busy you are, you have enough time for one throw a day.

no, when i practice, i yoyo for the 5 min that i am waiting in line for a movie or waiting for my pizza to get here. when i procrastinate, i usually yoyo for 2 hours or so

I have no idea why you would need to quit for 8th grade. It wasn’t difficult. At all. Heck, right now school isn’t difficult.

To soon for I told you so?

Alright. I think that the parties are bs, hes in 8th grade. They obviously arent drinking or anything and they arent throwing parties while there parents are away. He is trying to act “cool” but everyone know he isnt partying. I knew right off the bat when i heard about a 13 year old producing a yoyo that this was a bunch of bs. and i think he couldnt get it done and is just embarassed to come around yye becuase he was lieing. Now dont hate on me for speaking the truth. This is just my opinion. I relize that im very blunt but thats just who i am, i tell it striaght.

I have always been thinking that. I just never wanted to say it. Thanks for speaking the right thing right now.

He is never going to make this yoyo no offence but he is in 8th grade. I agree with what yoyolunatic and x52 said

Ouch, you guys he had progress with these being made, but he just isn’t in it enough. The age is not an issue, I am 15 and am GOING to get my yoyo made no matter how long it takes, we almost ha one done actually, but then our machinist had issues with his personal life and had to drop the job. Age really makes no difference.

YoyoLunatic, 8th graders do have parties when their parents leave and yes, I know a lot of friends who started drinking in 7th grade. I just didn’t believe it because he didn’t seem like the type when I met him. I am going to defend him because 1, he is my friend, and 2, I know where he is coming from. He told me of a bunch of issues he had with his machinist too, and I know certain people are gonna hate, but seriously, there is a difference between blunt and a punk.

Samad… your genious, thats why schools easy…

Can a mod lock this before there is more hate?

I knew you were going to comment on this. And i have talked to him on skype and hes not the type of guy that parties.

Comment on what? You bashing him? It’s cool this thread will be locked soon and then we won’t have anymore problems.

Yeah I know I talked to him on skype and in person and I never would have thought of him to be a partyer.
