maybe dabbling in juggling. its mostly just hand eye and brain training.
Taking this in a different direction; I visited the Slusny storefront when I was studying abroad in Europe last summer, and being surrounded by yoyoers and watching people come in a grab a pack of strings or try a new throw made me never want to leave!
That’s too cool man!
For me it will be the Volcano National Park on the big island of Hawaii. My wife and I were there in January, we did a tour, if I ever get back ($$$), I would like to go and just spend a whole day there. Regret not getting to walk the caldera floor of this.
I haven’t been back out in a long time for a number of frustrating reasons, but the two places that meant the most to me were the few throws I had in Colorado Springs in the most adorable little cabins where squirrels and deer passed every day. Also a bear but I stayed inside when he was around… my one regret? Not taking a quick throw at the Garden of the Gods. One upside? This glorious picture I took of a hamster.
The second being at the Choctaw Casino in Durant. It was a business trip, the longest I’ve ever traveled, furthest I’ve been from home and, despite some of the annoyances I had with the dining, it was one of my most memorable weeks. On my own, learning with other people, my own room way up in the casino, and this was my view whilst I yo-yoed. The most independent I’ve ever felt and with how life is going, probably the last time I will truly feel free. Not everything was covered like I thought so I went into panic BST mode, so if anyone has a matte red perpetual motion around, I’d like to trade or buy it. If you happen to have MY perpetual motion, might you wish to part with it?
Good idea for a topic. I never played sports growing up. But I do feel that kendama and Begleri have helped my hand eye coordination and flow for yo-yo.
I was at Garden of the Gods last week. Found a cheesy Garden of the Gods light up yo-yo. Attempted to do some tricks at the siamese twins, but the best I could get with the wind was a man on the trapeze.
I live maybe a half hour or so away yet I haven’t been to the Garden of the Gods in years, gotta make a trip this spring/summer
Mind if I save that hamster picture?
It’s too glorious to not save it.
Awe sweet! I didn’t see a yo-yo! Of course I’d just had my gallbladder out and was still healing so I wasn’t paying so much attention at the shop. I’ll have to go back.
I’ll second that motion!
Not at all! It’s going up on my portfolio soon anyways. Thank you for asking!
Awesome! Thank you!
