Stringmaking help!?

Hey guys I’ve been making my own string for a couple weeks… I like everything about them except the loops that goes around the bearings arent tight against the bearing. Any tips on how to correct this?!

Wind a little tighter on the initial spin, unless of course that ruins the string qualities you like as it is now.

what are u using to spin the thread? (paperclips make it super tight around the bearing

Using a dremel for the first wind and a drill for the next. Using small hooks. Gonna keep experimenting!

you could always put it on a paperclip after uve spun it and then tighten the string with ur hand

True. Just having a hard time deciding how long or far to spin the string on the first and second winds… :slightly_frowning_face:

Just worry about the first. You can mess with the second, but one way or another, the second will mostly just end up neutralizing the first.

Yeah I haven’t done the math but from one hook to another is 10 and a half feet and I’ve been doing 15 inches of reduction
