Hi everyone,

I just picked up the new Singularity and it has the terrapin treated 10 ball. I know you are not supposed to clean them other than compressed air (as per string theory) but is thin lube ok on these?

You can put thin lube on any bearing, it may take a little longer to break in on a 10 ball, but it shouldn’t damage it.

You will not need any lubricant with The Terrapin bearing it will only inhibit the sleep time.

is it a raw metal bearing or does it have a coating of some sort Mark? Reason I ask is if it’s a raw bearing, I will never run a bearing dry. No matter what the manufacturer says.

They are Terrapin Treated it is a polymer coating the bearing performs best in its shipped condition.
