Well, why does your string twist? Binding causes your yoyo to rotate a half a turn everytime, pay attention if you have a dual tone yoyo.
So yeah, it’s a matter of paying attention to how many binds you do.
If you keep on top of your string tension, it will increase your strings overall “string tension life”. I find most of the time when I change my string, it’s cuz it can’t hold string tension worth crap thus I consider it dead lol… if you stay ontop of it doe… it won’t twist up as much in the later life of the string… thus making it last longer. It’s like maintaining your string lol.
It’s more than binds, though. Doing tricks will also introduce twists. Some savants out there might be able to keep a tally of twists as they do tricks, but I have to do the “hold up a slack length of string” thing.
