More cotton options would be cool, I like zipline kot’n but wish it was slightly thicker. On the yoyos it plays well with it’s so good, but on other yoyos I’d rather just reach for generic type 10 even if it feels worse/doesn’t last as long.

I play 1A exclusively (at this time anyway) and I prefer long string. 140-160cm.

1A i seen to have about 43’ /110cm

I’m still experimenting with string length so it varies from day to day. Right now I feel most comfortable with a 1A string around 42 inches/106cm.

I’m 6’2" but I still tend to keep it short-ish because I like the control.
Between 3 feet 8 inches to 4 feet 5 inches. Depending on the yoyo. I think the sweet spot is about 4ft 2 inch. (128cm or 1280mm)

Recently been trying to figure out what’s best. I’m short (5’7) so I don’t wanna have to lift my palm but also feel like some tricks too small of a string is a hindrance.

Been throwing 38”/97cm for 1A. I tried throwing longer strings for a while but I keep creeping back up to my mid 2000s length, it just feels right. 6’1” btw.

Thanks to everyone for your replies! The idea I’m working on would really only work with 1A and 3A, so I just did calculations for those. But, the data is here for anyone else if they are curious. Only 3 responses for 3A, so not really enough sample size to go on. But for 1A I got 25 (!) responses.
The highest number was 160cm (63") and the lowest was 97cm (~38"). I did exclude the 160 cm from the calculations as a very long outlier and used their other response of 150cm in the averages.
The mean was 113.71cm (44.5") and the median was 115cm (45.3")
I’m copying everyones usernames over to a random lottery generator now so I’ll have the drawing results soon! Thanks again to everyone and feel free to contribute for additional data for future string makers

Okie dokie so I ended up with responses from 21 people, so we’ll be giving away three 5-packs. (some had multiple responses based on what yoyo they were using, which I included in the calculations, but they only got one entry
