Spin top learning curve (it’s not a curve)

Is there a level above not advised? (That is forum friendly🙂)
Just add a YYF Short Circuit to your next YYE order, they’re only 6 bucks.
Btw, How To Be a Player is the only reason I got into tops, never really noticed them before that.

That looks very nice, could you post a couple photos to show the crown and the tip? Thanks

I’m going to hope this is the start of a plateau, or at least a more gentle learning curve.

That is a great boomerang! You will be able to do all kinds of stuff now.

I have found myself needing a break from FAF so I’ve been working on it every weekday (can’t spin top on the weekend with other people in the house).

A little every day is a very good way to gain new skills and keep the ones you have. Keep posting, that’s great!

It’s a top!

It’s 3D printed!

It uses a Short Circuit tip.

Ooo. How is it??

It’s a little small and a little unstable but I can can throw it.

This was a proof of concept. The hardware fits. Next one I’m going bigger.

I’m certainly no expert, just in comparison to most I’ve seen, it looks like moving the bulge a bit more toward the top might help the stability a bit.
It looks awesome.

I was aiming for Short Circuit clone but it came out a touch more Imperial.

Well there’s nothing wrong with that. How big do you think you might go?

I don’t think the hardware will support something much bigger than a Short Circuit so only maybe 10mm taller and a little wider.

If I can source a bigger metal tip I could make a much bigger top.
