I would like to learn how to do the stalll wher you catch on your finger and keep going by throwing it back down its in this vid at 10 seconds
That’s a sort of regeneration. The key to this move is to have the yoyo spinning at a pretty slow speed, so it comes up the string slower than usual. Then, flip your throwhand upwards, and the yoyo should flip up. Land it on your finger, and then flick your hand backwards, tossing the yoyo off. This takes some practice, but you’ll get it!
I know Yuuki Spencer does these a lot in his '05 nationals freestyle. You can see them a little bit clearer in the video:
It could be a good way to pick up the form, and Yuuki’s always fun to watch ;). If you keep at it I’m sure you’ll get it.
Another tip is to try doing this with a breakaway and move your hand down and towards about 3 inches below where the yoyo is at with your palm down. It is usually easier to practice with your string wrapped up on your finger (non palm side). Good luck!

It is basically looping. eventually you start doing cool stuff with your loops like catching it on your finger.
plus luke (vid 1) does that a lot.
