What made you narrow your choices down to those 3? Why stick to CLYW? There are many good yoyos out there.
Smooth, stable, long spinning…that literally doesn’t narrow the field down at all. We need preferences on size, shape, weight, feel, and what’s your budget?
It really depends on your definition of Stability, and to me, stability is how likely or unlikely a yoyo is prone to tilting. For example, I love my FHZminus however it is less stable then my Protostar was, simply because of the shape difference and gap width. Bearing and response had nothing to do with it. Now, I currently play my Popstar as my main, I didn’t enjoy how much it tilted on me -at first- I just had to get used to how small it was and how it played, now that the introductions are over, we play together all of the time (My Popstar and I). To state that any differences are minuscule is in fact correct that is of course, -if-, you are competent with the yoyo in question. Otherwise, every yoyo plays different, regardless of the shape, size, weight, width, material, etc. Unless all stats are identical, it -will- play differently, not drastically different but different. Sorry Batryn, but Ape is right. OP, Get whatever looks the best, if you want one of them -that- bad, then I am sure you will make it work, I have heard nothing negative about any of those yoyos. And besides, if you don’t like it, at least you now know what to avoid, B/S/T it and get something different it’s just that simple. If you just jump on the bandwagon with, “omg itz da nu yoyo frum teh b3st company in da werld, i n33dz it!!!1!1!1!!” then you will always be in the position of the sucker consumer who will buy whatever you throw at them, instead of sorting out your likes and dislikes so you can make more educated decisions in future purchases.
Genesis a way more stable than a Bassalope. Its not miniscule. Try to do a complicated horizontal trick with a Bassalope. Hard, huh? Now try it with a Genesis. Quite easier. I know it is possible to land it on a Bassalope, but in a competition, you want the most reliable, stable, long spinning yoyo you can get. Not hatin’ on the Bassalope or anything, I adore it, but its not as reliable as the Genesis.
@OP
The three yoyos you listed are all amazing. if you’re set on those three, decide on size. If you like small yoyos, get the Gnarwal. If you like big yoyos, flip a coin between the Avalanche and Sasquatch.
I see your arguments, and while it may seem so, do the math. (Approximate math of course, since you would really be able to do. it without guessing or cutting apart a yoyo)
LOL I’m only in alg. 2 trig… I dunno how to do the math… but still, yoyos are based on feel of each individual, not math. What agrees with one person mightn’t agree with another.
Haha exactly. It’s actually physics but whatever. And yeah what one person likes for the feel of a yoyo will be different for different people. Go preference! Lol.
Well, i haven’t done the math, but i’ve done experimantation, and when playing with the yoyo’s, my hatrick will tilt a lot easier than my lucky seven. When you play with your yoyo, you naturally make imperfection witch cause the yoyo to tilt, and it seems they affect my hatrick more. Maybe there is some factor you not accounting for?
