I have two problems when i silicone my hatrick.

  1. When i try to just lay the silicone smoothly into the gap, and then wipe away the excess with a knife, it gets all over my yoyo. Does anyone have any tips for siliconeing?
  2. The black rtv silicone i’m useing only lasts for a few days, then it’s worn down to uselessness. Should i use some other silicone?

use the tip of a plastic spoon and use red rtv silicone. hope i helped

Red, black, there really isn’t much of a difference.

  1. After filling the groove with silicone and smoothing it out I like to use a paper towel to wipe away the excess that is on the face of the yo-yo. There will still be a fine film left on the yo-yo but that is easily wiped away after an hour or two.

  2. Make sure you are completely filling the groove. Also try to keep air bubbles at a minimum. What yo-yo are you having trouble with?

Yah, i do the thing with the paper towel. Maybe the reason i’m haveing problems is because the groove on the hatrick is really small… but still, there must be a way…
