Show some wooden yoyos you've made

That’s a great looking Ken! Definitely the best of the three from looking at them, at least in terms of shape/proportion.

Do you use a pattern duplicator or free hand these?

Turned halves awaiting response holes, assembly, and sanding. Looks like they’ll end up spanning 40 to 60+ grams.

I’m vibrating with excitement.

Let’s hope the yo-yos aren’t also vibrating with excitement. :joy:

(Although they probably will be nice and smooth - all halves were within less than 1 gram of each other.)

@Eric_Newlin is that bottom one made of Lati? Nice grain patter on it.

Yes, it’s lati. Tricky to turn, but I really like the look. The cup looks cool too.

Also, don’t these look cool together?

What’s the wood on the right?

That’s Lati, which I guess some people call white wenge. I thought it would be cool to try with actual wenge axle caps. That’s also what I’m using for @adamantiumpops ‘s butterfly.

I’ll take that one too if you’re selling it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Done! It’s hefty too, which you’ll like. +60 grams. I’m going to weigh it this afternoon because I misplaced my scale.

The one on the left is cherry, and the other one is maple.

I would love to see your take on a butterfly…

Working on it as we speak!

If you are selling, I would like a responsive maple, but I’m not picky.

If so, PM me.

Thank you, Jeff
