Show some wooden yoyos you've made

I used a metal cutting bit and went throw like 3 of them and yeah I learned you got to let it cool or it starts launching teeth. Thank god I was using my safety squints

Thing kicked like a mule, wrecked the material and scared the daylights out of me. I was lucky I wasn’t holding what I was cutting

This was a practice throw. I made it out of some plywood I was cutting a jig out of (to try the hole saw without a pilot with a clamped jig). I knew it was going to be too light and it is. 32g. Need to get better at making equal halves, but it plays ok all things considered.

I didn’t make these but I sent a picture of my old very worn out spitfire to @Rich and he made this

Then he enjoyed the process enough and is making more

Same process as the last one but more butterfly shaped.

Gorgeous, is the gap size the response system and if so, what size gap?

No. It has 8 hole response as my last few. It has a 2.6mm gap. It’s currently press fit on a 1/4” oak axle.

Nice! I imagine with the response system and gap size that it is pretty much snag free and allows for advanced fixie string tricks with ease while still responding proper, awesome job
