Any other brands or yo-yos some body could recommend under 50$ that would fit in my small old hands?
Atmos Projects. They have a bunch of great options and right now there are many ‘Spoil’-Grades for under $50 up on their site. I think the Smol could check your boxes.
The One Drop M2 & Intro come to mind. Solid colour Intros retailed for 49 USD, and you can find M2s around for about that much as well.

Yeah someone looking at a Shutter doesn’t have that kind of money… that’s the most expensive non-titanium yoyo that One Drop has ever made…
Bonus suggestion: Halifax is really small and plays really well too, if you can find one.

I’ve tried other YYFr but not the Helix. The company makes solid throws and their descriptions of their products are spot on as far as performance goes. The Helix gets good praise, it’s one I’ve been eyeballing myself.

at this point I will dig deeper into yoyo friends and check what they got and try to avoid Magic yoyo because I am skeptical about their yo-yos. All from the Magic yoyo V12, V13, and V15 are all the same with minimal differences and sometimes different cases which makes me think twice about their yo-yos in quality for the price.

Honestly just get a Shortcut, it’s also super nice and a nice comfy size. What’s nice about Yoyofriends is their quality for the price, they’re the sub-brand of one of the most premium machine shops so they really punch above their price point in that regard.

the Shortcut sounds and looks great, but it is sold out and I don’t know when will they restock them.
In terms of size (diameter, width, weight), the Shortcut is not super different from the Helix. They’ll play different for sure, very different shapes, but they’ll both play great. So if the worry is the others will be too big, my guess is they won’t be. The Ultracut is a touch bigger, but not a ton.
In my experience, most people seem to prefer the Ultracut to the Shortcut. For me, it’s the reverse, but not by a lot. And I think it’s still true that the Ultracut and Helix are probably better performance-wise than the Shortcut.

The V13 is quite good for the price.
yes but there is a V15 which is almost the same.
magic yoyo is more known for their very low prices. Not quality or really performance.
