I need help in choosing a yoyo
should I get the R Type or Jds Shutter?
I dont know if that helps but im getting an IQ also

jds shutter for me. r type doesn’t look as aesthetically pleasing or comfortable, and having a buffed shutter seems amazing

I dunno much about either but I will say that the iq is a blast. Have fun with it!

If you have or are getting an IQ, go with the JDS. It’s a different experience and a very nice one at that. I have all 3 and the R type really plays very similar to IQ.
Have you considered a wide angle shutter? Also a superb choice.

Between the two I would choose Jds shutter.
R type is basically a heavier IQ

Im tryna get yoyos for sole competition so would jds shutter make a better competition yoyo than r type?

We’ll that’s a question I can’t really answer. It really depends on your play style and preference. Shutter is going to be a bit narrower and sharp on the catch. It’s going to feel a bit more compact leading it to feel faster. That might be an allusion though, both are plenty fast when you push them.
