can anyone tell me the best way to sand a yoyo?? Does it make it smoother?
I personally don’t sand yoyos, but there was a similar thread about this - if I remember, people used sand paper from the low grit, 100-200 then work their way up to 2000 or 3000. Afterwards some people use 00 steel wool or something like that.
And I think sanding yoyos do make them smoother, in grinds, at least. That’s what I’ve read. I think Mullicabob or Yoyospirit could put their input on this.

Well I thought it was sanding at first too, before. Anyway, I think it’s agreeable that sanding would be the first thing to come to your mind if you have no clue about satining 
You don’t satin something. You sand it to a satin finish.
If anything, it will make your yoyo less smooth because it’s quite difficult to do it evenly on both sides if you’re not familiar with what you’re doing.
Yeah, I think it’ll give it some vibe. But if you really want a yoyo with a satin finish, you should look at yoyospirit.
