I’ve used pads and Flowable silicone before, and I am currently running out of pads, so I will ask this question - when buying silicone, should I buy Flowable silicone again or should I try some kind of RTV silicone?

Flowable silicone. Just be careful when you are scraping off the excess.
I second flowable. I used to use the rtv and the clear flowable is nice and easy and so far has lasted pretty well. I think they sell a tube here on yye.
