So I have a responsive yo yo that comes back right after it bounces when it sleeps if I throw full strength how I I reduce the responsiveness?
When did you start playing yoyo?
Which responsive yoyo?
Have you learned that string torsion affects how responsive yo-yos are yet?
It could be: If you throw too hard the yoyo bounces up at the end of the string, which can make the string start to wind-up.

Things to check:
- String is single-looped around the axle by untwisting it.
- No knots. If so, use a toothpick to undo them.
- String isn’t too frayed.
- You are softening the landing by slightly dropping your throw hand slightly as it terminates. You can start with softer throws and keep throwing progressively harder to build consistency.

The bearing could have a bit of string jamming it up, could have an axle knot.
Only if the technique needs finessing. W good technique the yoyo can be thrown super hard and not bounce back and respond.
