Anyone have any ideas on how to remove the metal weight rings from a yyf overthrow? I tried placing them in the freezer and prying them out but no luck. Would like to keep the body shells but not set on it.
No idea they seem pretty tight on it with mine. What’s your plan for the rings?
You can buy brand new 9 dragon shells for very cheap and they’re the exact same thing.
If you don’t care about keeping these I would use clippers of some kind starting from the hub.

I’m looking to use the rings for weight in a 3D print. Want to switch it up from the ball bearings I’ve been using.

That was going to be my second plan. Was checking here to see if anyone had any ideas before I started demolition.
You could use #10 solid wire solder for weight rings. Forms nicely.
