I heard that the recognition can take off anodizing by doing thumb grinds is that true ??
I had a recog for quite some time and didn’t have no wearing down, but then again I rarely did thumb grinds. I would hesitate away from getting one because ano fades. The recognition is a very good yoyo and the price is quite affordable. Plus ano fading doesn’t affect performance so it isn’t much of a loss other than cosmetic.

The ano fades? Like from exposure to light or just from a lot of handling? Does it rub off where it’s touched most often?

Anyone from unprld can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the last run of recog and elevation both had issues with the anno rubbing off. I think it was an issue with the factory as top yo (who I believe machines stuff for unprld) had the same issue. I wouldn’t worry so much on the latest runs though, and even if you do have an issue, unprld is a great company and will do what they can to help out. Don’t let it hold you back for a great throw!

Mine is clear anodized. Never had that problem.
