RBC is much less responsive

Hello ladies and gentlemen.
I remember reading about a similar problem on a thread, but I can’t find it. One of my RBCs is notably less responsive than it used to be. I’ve tried thick lube, which helps for a little while, then it goes back to being rather unresponsive quickly. I probably have only 10 hours of usage on this one. Any suggestions on what I can try to get the snappiness back? Any help would be appreciated. Love these RBCs, they are such great throws!

Sorry this is happening!

Have you takes one or both of the shields off before applying the lube?

I took one sheild off with one of mine, applied a drip of thin lube and its been way more responsive ever since.

Sweet! Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll give it a try this evening.

Try wiping the pads with a little alcohol to clean the surface.

What Hojo-YoYo said, alcohol wipe down fixed my issue.

That and maybe replace your string? I’m using BadWolfe Goldilocks Sliccs and they are probably on the edge of too responsive.

Give it a tiny little tighten, not crank. I remember this being a fix

I tried all the suggestions, cleaning pads, thin oil directly on the bearing, changing strings and tightening it a bit more. Definitely seemed to have helped. Thanks for the help!
